GoFish was an amusing time waster in Garry's Mod where you just literally make a fishing rod and fish for random objects and NPCs that may or may not want to kill you

Sadly, i don't think anyone's ever brought it back

And i don't think this old one will work, but you could try

tf2:
Class Wars
TF2x10

that's all you need man

I know you said you don't want to play Zombie survival gamemodes, but have you ever tried the INTOX Zombie Mod server on TF2? It's very different from other TF2 zombie fortress servers and is a very simple, fun, easy-to-play gamemode. It's my absolute favorite.

TF2 has a forgetton I like.

TF2Ware - WarioWare but with TF2. Several minigames and a boss round with a bit of challenge to it. Even uses WarioWare sounds!

Sandbox - If you play on the non-pony one (if you care anyways), you can build, play Tetris (yes if you build an arcade machine you can play loving tetris), and just do stuff you normally couldn't in TF2. You can't get hurt either iirc, and there's a bunch of other fun features

Dodgeball - Airblast: The Game. A projectile is fired from a random area on a specific map for the gamemode. Airblast it away and watch it randomly target some other fool. It's homing, so it doesn't matter where you aim, it's WHEN you aim. The rockets get faster and faster with each airblast. Fun and fast-paced.

UberUpgrades - TF2 on crack. Non-MvM (PVP) or MvM with a even wider range of upgrades (you can set your weapons to on hit ignite people, get 2000+ health, throw balls of fire, and a ton loving more) to abuse. It's fun as hell and I love it to this day. Also, MvM uses way harder missions to equal out the overpowered upgrades.

garrys mod storm chasers
its the only one of its type and you basically chase tornadoes and whatnot

Gmod doesnt really have alot besides what you mentions and a ton of different types of rp servers, thopugh they do have sled maps or whatever, though it gets old quick.

TF2 has a stuff ton of gamemodes
This looks like a good list of custom game modes in TF2, though some are just customization mods, like RTD.

I knew about tf2ware and tf2 x10 and dodgeball but some of these I have never heard of but I will prob check them out

I played on the Intox server today. I don't exactly like how some of the mechanics are and it's just annoying on full player servers on like that map that's a little similar to the center in turbine where your forced to go engie and all that stuff it's a unique gamemode and the maps are great but I don't exactly lik it when there's a crapload of ppl like 32 on the server

GMod Tower is good if you keep your mouth shut about the admin and his "wife".

fortwars is a good laugh when you get a bunch of friends

Intox zombie mod is different from other mods, mainly in that having good or bad engineers can make or break your teams chances for survival. The engineer class tends to be really OP on zombie mod which is why only  2 people are allowed to be an engi per round. Its fairly easy for zombie players to infect you if you are just running around trying to go solo. If you are a survivor and try to melee with zombies, you can do it in some instances, but you have to be careful. Keep in mind that though all survivor melee weapons deliver 1 hit kills to zombies, zombies can sometimes infect you in one hit as well.

The best way to survive on Intox Zombie Mod is to stick with the engineer at all times, as their sentries and dispensers act as physical barriers to keep the zombies out, as well as the sentry shooting at zombies helping you see and target them, and the dispensers providing vital health if you get marked. Teleporters, if placed in a corridor or right in front of the sentry, can act as speed bumps to slow the zombies down and make them a bigger profile target.

Heres some of my recommendations for classes to play if you feel you suck at zombie mod. For both of these classes, play them and stick with the engi at all times, and you should be totally fine.
  • Medic all the way. Pick this class with a loadout of Crusaders Crossbow, any medigun (zombie mod makes all med guns function like the default one), and the Amputator saw. The crossbow kills almost all zombies in 1 hit so it is a very effective weapon if yiu have good aim. The Amputator, when you use its taunt, will heal all allies within a fairly large radius. Use this to help keep teammates healed when camping with the engi.
  • Pyro, with default flamethrower, a secondary of your choice and the Powerjack. Equipping the powerjack is helpful for running away from zombies thanks to its speed boost. Camp with your engi as this class, and use the flamethrower for spychecking (zombie spies cant disguise, only cloak), and the airblast is VITAL for knocking zombies away when they rush at your teams encampment.

However yes, currently there are some unintended bugs in the gamemode. The Tough Break update broke some of the stuff in the gamemode, namely the Wrap Assassin, which if used as a zombie scout, lets you infect any human in 1 hit (very op since its ranged). This is due to the newly implemented radius damage mechanic of the wrap assassin. Hopefully though Reflex will fix it soon.
