If all goes well, search the room for things.
Steal all the valuable things, and consider stealing some of the non-valuable things.
If everything goes smoothly, load a shell into your sawn-off shotgun and be prepared for the inevitable ambush.

You search the entire Motel and find nothing in it. Suspecting a trap, you quickly load a shell into the sawn-off as a bus full of gunmen pull up to the Motel.
