could probably work if you made a large-ish map, made the terrain mountainous (but smooth), raised the sea level and raised the top of the world

gonna see how that goes in a bit

edit: looks to me like this is the best possible setup

wtf this looks fun as hell

There needs to be a vehicle upgrade mod to slow down released vehicles. Like forget realism with the years, ita basically just time at thia point.

Like if a new vehicle comes out yearly, it would be changed to every 50 years or so instead.
So a server could just run 24/7 for weeks. and let time pass, without you returning to find the lame end of the game.

As of rightnow, if you play for 4 hours one evening on a new server, you return the next evening to find all your work meant nothing, as new players juat joining can surpass your company in an hour with the new vehicles.
Everything is released at that point, and you were there to slightly enjoy the growth, because the game moves to fast.

This game always seemed better when it was scheduled to only run for like 4 hours a night when everyone could know the schedule.

a replacement for that is setting it to year0, where the cavemen discover the bus

you really don't need the map to be this big, man

EDIT: reboot and edits are done. smaller map size is in place :).

the easiest way i can think of achieving this is slowing down the tick rate. i'll have to figure it out eventually, after all i have loads of time after tomorrow.

bumping bc map is smaller and i'm the only one playing :(

everything looks good apart from vehicle FIRS compatibility

the trains you have (2cc and NARS) are compatible w/ firs, but you have no trucks / ships / planes
you should get them for the next map or w/e
http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/firs/releases/LATEST/readme.txt

specifically, Squid Ate FISH! (for ships), some road vehicles of your choice from that list, and maybe Av8 (for planes)

edit: oh, and CHIPS station tiles!
ISR is really nice but the resource-dependant tiles dont seem compatible w/ FIRS

edit2:
get loving steamrolled tomtom
