hasn't adventure time and other shows also had episodes in bomb formats now? i'm sure they draw in a lot of ad revenue so it isn't surprising but jeez man give us a break :(

so in the teaser it looks like:

peridot and steven actually hit the cluster?? but nobody else seems to be with them. there's a distinct lack of the other crystal gems, and a distinct lack of jasper. my thoughts are that maybe after malachite is defeated, steven somehow gets lapis's gem or something (maybe he bubbles it), and maybe jasper captures the other crystal gems? could also be possible that jasper gets bubbled and the others are guarding it, but it seems strange for steven and peri to go to the cluster on their own. i get the feeling something dire is happening. maybe yellow diamond comes to earth and Kick Butt, but i duno. in any case, jasper's clearly Mad. and wants to Tear Those Gems a New One� so i wouldn't be surprised if she somehow put the STrong on them

It doesn't seem like they are doing a steven bomb this time because it's a 4 week event.

Unless that means 20 episodes for 4 weeks instead of 4 episodes in 4 weeks.

yeah it's not a straight-up bomb, it's five episodes over four weeks (two episodes on may 12). it was probably originally a bomb and then they decided to try something different because of the reaction people are having.

also, summer of steven is still happening even though this is going on
