last week had lots of plot and character development. the two episodes so far this week have been pretty much filler, but today's was a bit better in that regard.
and you know what now that i actually think about it, i'm pretty sure they're focusing so much on side characters on purpose. remember that provisional title "last one out of beach city?" i get the feeling they're developing these people now because they want us to care about them later, and that three-part episode coming up in the next two weeks (beta, earthlings, back 2 the moon) is probably going to be interesting
