It's possible, but then that raises some questions, like how did that lion die? And why would a Rose Quartz need to create a pocket dimension by resurrecting a dead animal, therefor having it 'assimilated' and turning it's hair into a portal to said pocket dimension?
What if [Rose Quartz killed that lion thinking it was a hostile enemy, but cried from the shock and horror after realizing what she had done, thus reviving and assimilating the lion?]

we can't really know wtf is up with this pocket dimension bullstuff, but lion probably just died naturally or from an accident or smth and rose resurrected him. maybe there were other organisms that were connected to this dimension, but it seems like they're long gone now. maybe not tho, wonder if they're just really far out somewhere. we also know the other crystal gems (and greg?) had no idea about lion for some reason, so there had to be somethin weird going on there
i'm more interested in this pink diamond situation rn though. wtf is goin on there
