I legitimately woke up with a fever, now I definitely cant go. At least I don't feel like a liar now. Kind of happy I woke up with a fever honestly.

Well I did have a fever on Tuesday, probably relapsed something by getting practically zero rest.

Tell them your family is coming over that day, or its your grandma's birthday, etc...

Too late for that. I just tried calling him to let him know what happened, and his phone is freaking off. Wow. Left him a voicemail and an email.

NEWS UPDATE: Wow. Now my dad is putting me into a guilt trip, trying to make me feel even worse for not going. He always does this. I guess this is what Jewish parents do.
actually this is what most parents do when you make up a stupid excuse to not go, like having a 102 degree fever
I'm sick right loving now and I'm hanging out with my friends later today

You convinced me. I cant risk losing him. He's a valuable friend and if I lose him - I lose all potential connections from his dad.
wow. no wonder you don't have any problem lying to him

You could have taken some painkillers and still gone.

Just because you have a legitimate reason it doesn't mean your friend won't think less of you or question your friendship.
It's too coincidental that you couldn't meet up 4 times, and he'll know that you've lied at least once, and will question any excuse you give. You've made yourself the boy who cried wolf.

that's just what most parents do when their kids break promises. what judaism even have to do with it?
