Author Topic: laidlaw left valve ~ aka no half life 3  (Read 1603 times)

This doesn't mean it's dead. I'm sure they have more writers than him, or if not, I'm sure they could easily find some.

rest in peace my favorite game ever.

well that's unfortunate, but at least its inconclusive. im sure he wasn't the only writer that works for valve

sorry guys, there won't be a half-life 3

instead they're going to skip directly into half-life 4

leaving on a more positive note. Marc Laidlaw worked there for such a long time, it would make plenty of sense if he plans to write more and let Valve use the story for the next Half Life series, just maintaining benefits from the sales. It could also be that he already wrote the story for Half-Life 3 and Valve is currently working on it.

I don't see why that means there's no half life 3

Doesn't mean no half life 3 at all.

But what if Laidlaw took all of Half Life 3's storyboards and concepts??

yes he just decided to steal them all as he left

"no half life 3" seems a little...sensationalist, don't you think?
