I have a 57% winrate on singed. I'm not the best singed world but I certainly don't suck with him after ~160 games this season. I've climbed from Silver 4 to Gold 3 this far this season, so I can assure you, I've had no trouble climbing. The problem that I've encountered is a general lack of champ/matchup knowledge and map awareness that is present at nearly every elo I've played at this season but as I've climbed higher, players realize how to punish it more effectively. Losses are in effect much more frustrating if one of the lanes is repeatedly overextended because the enemy team will know how to punish it and repeatedly kill your teammate if they do not adapt their play accordingly (which they mostly will not.)
It's obviously very frustrating when someone is making a mistake that is not difficult to remedy, but they refuse to cooperate and allow the enemy jungler and their lane opponent to build leads off of kill gold, and they then roam and forget up the other lanes with their gold lead. Ryze is incredibly conducive to this problem because if bot lane is overextended and his bot lane isn't braindead, he'll ask for a ward and tp in and kill the enemy bot lane with his permasnare and aoe damage.
