to add on to your point, I've pretty much accepted the fact that I need to be able to carry these stuffters to deserve a higher elo than I've got. If I can't do that, I don't deserve a higher rank. Teammates will rarely if ever carry me, and this is also how it works for everyone else that plays ranked.
Everybody gets trash teammates and there's a huge difference between voicing frustration or trying to use that as an excuse.
To rephrase my point from before, the coordination required to stop a decent ryze is much greater than the skill it takes for him to be effective and annoying. Many other champions work in a similar way, but ryze is unique because he is both a good duelist with snare AND good in teamfights because of his aoe. Most champions sacrifice one trait or another to keep an obvious counterplay. Playing ryze is basically playing urf once you get some mana.
