the bigger problem with immortality is that it just goes on into infinity. the universe will end and you'll be drifting through nothing, alone with your thoughts.

I think that'd be great. I mean if you've got millions of years I'm sure you'd get used to the passage of time, probably long before the end of the universe

maybe in some occasions i'd become bored as hell but time will pass all the same and i'll get to see some cool stuff every so often.

Unless you die really young its going to happen immortality or not.

But in your normal life-span you'll only see a relatively small amount of loved ones pass away.
If you're immortal it happens again and again with each generation.
I would be immortal, but it requires invulnerability and no aging.
I don't want to spend eternity in a deteriorating body.

Definitely live for several thousand years. That'd be awesome, just to think of the adventures I could have, getting to see human civilization advance over time.

I don't see the problem with immortality at all. Yeah, witnessing my family die would be horrible, but even if I chose to live a normal life, I would likely see them all die anyway. My dad, my mom, grandparents, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, all of them. Pretty much everyone in my family is far older then me, so being immortal would just let me see cool stuff. Or maybe the destruction of humanity, but still. I feel like the downsides of it are severely outweighed by the upsides.
