The Portal OST and Minecraft OST have some pretty good pieces of music in them (special mention to Self Esteem Fund and Alpha), but it's all up to your opinion.

My stuff probably isn't as good as what's been posted here already.

edit: i've re-ordered the list to make it more accessible and less prone to switch from really relaxing to super intense


these soundtracks are quite orchestral/beautiful:

NieR (album) (this is way lower quality than i wish it was, it's really beautiful)
Drakengard 3 (album) (this is actually a really intense album compared to what i put as a preview)
Dark Souls (album)
Diablo 2 (album)
theophany makes some seriously intense and beautiful remixes
Okami (album)
Megaman Zero résonnant vie


these soundtracks are like halfway between orchestral, intense, and upbeat:

Transistor (album)
the Super Smash Bros series (ssbm album)
Final Fantasy VI (album)
Desktop Dungeons (album)


these soundtracks are quite intense:
pretty much the entire megaman zero series (especially the remastered albums) (mythos album)
Risk of Rain (album)
Metal Gear Rising (album)
kikuo makes some really amazing stuff
gorestuff has some really good stuff too


these tracks are quite upbeat and fun:

these tracks i have no idea how to categorize but they are amazing (wubs, guitars):

pretty much all demetori tracks (personal favorite track)
camellia is loving awesome (personal favorite track)




please do tell me if any of this is blocked in the US and i will try to fix it
i've found that a lot of this stuff tends to be blocked for some awful reason

Most anything by Hans Zimmer. Some of my favorites are:
Man of Steel
Pirates of the Caribbean (any of them, honestly)
Interstellar is alright

Then there's How to Train Your Dragon. This one is truly fantastic. Can't remember the composer.

Any of the LOTR soundtracks and the first two Hobbit soundtracks by Howard Shore. The third Hobbit soundtrack I found a bit boring, but I haven't listened to it quite as much so it might be a poorly formed opinion.

There's also Harry Gregson Williams' Narnia: The Lion,the Witch, and the Wardrobe. This one is really good.

Most stuff by John Williams is great. I know I really like the Force Awekens soundtrack.
