I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

Maybe you have some good resources to help me better understand this period so this doesn't happen again. The main reason I thought it didn't matter was because I did not know we were sticking to historical dates rather than roughly what was around.

40 years is not roughly around

that would be like having the F-16 during WW2

As a countermeasure to starvation, the spreading of diseases, and to boost productivity while maintaining a stable population, the Household Policy is put into enactment. A couple may have no more than 4 children, but must have at least one. At the age of sixteen(the age of adulthood), they are required to head and register at the ministry of occupation. There, they will be assigned a function that is relevant to their skills and in alignment with the requirements of the realm.

For Sunni families that practice polygamy, a household may consist of one man and a harem of three, with only two children.

Any children that are born that beak this policy are forfeit to the realm and the childs parents are fined (albeit not heavily), where they will be raised in an environment related to the government assigned function they'll begin upon adulthood.

Hey, there's no reason to be an starfish. I didn't know. It was an accident.

He's not the starfish here, tbh.

No, I didn't think it mattered, we're not playing by alternative history,

man i hated history class when they told me about romek-inen, its always so boring

I think you misunderstood my post. It was a statement, this is not alternative history.

Neventii, I'll deal with you shortly.  I enjoy nation RPs, but it's no picnic to have someone causing a ruckus when I'm already the designated update slave.

And Tristan, please don't worry about the resource maps.  I am working with geologic tendencies to lay out subterranean resource maps.  For now, it's just good to assume that more minerals lay in the mountains.  For now, though, don't put too much emphasis on it.

Initiatives for industry along the rivers is started.

The Federal Serisian Government issues an ultimatum to the Desert States of Namo:

Surrender and become a protectorate or the war will kick into full gear. Your navy will be destroyed if you do not surrender (you get to keep your ships if you do).

Conditions of Surrender:
- Accept status as a protectorate state
- Relinquish control of military assets to the Federal Serisian military
- Nami's military will be retrained as a competent defense force
- Nami will automatically be inducted into any trade deals made by the Serisian government
- Nami will keep their democratically elected government for local affairs, trade deals have to be finalized by the Serisian government
- Serisian and allied military forces will be able to enter and leave the country freely

Is there any website I can go to make these cool looking flags?

doesn't apply to everyone but I used flagmaker

Flagmaker is pretty awesome, I'd suggest using it.

also people use flag overlays to add vignette or wavynessness

i added a rockier and damaged texture to reinforce my fascist slightly authoritarian theme

(transparent, not blue)

I use this overlay in gimp, I add it over the top of my flag designs to give them a bit more depth
