I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

oh stuff, where'd you get that?  that's neat as hell

also, normally i like to mash things together because it's easier than being original.  for my current flag i just took north korea's flag and went over the star with south korea's taeguk and altered the colors to be more fitting.

I try uploading it to imgur but it wont work. Is there any website that will let me upload this flag?

you could always host it as an attachment

then again the maximum size is 512kb so that might not work

Muslim MA BOI YEA

After many years, the practically ancient city of Tell Kancioubar is declared a Islamic holy site. A grand mosque is completed within the center of the city, and lined with as many Islamic l artifacts that Conservatia has to offer. With this development Islam, and primarily its Sunni branch, is booming within the country, and beginning to leave the other religions in the realm in its shadow.

Also, my territory can be in the bottom-right corner if you want, Swat
I'm also going to be a more traditional empire (bows, katana(s), etc.) but I will use matchlock rifles as my main infantry weapon.
We shall specialize in cavalry, especially bow cavalry, we will raid your cities in the dead of night on horse-back, we will rape your women feed your starving people, we will tear down your city help expand your cities.

I feel like we're stretching the "empire" label a little bit in this alternate history.

As the year begins to draw to a close, the growth of the military plateaus at expected levels. To accommodate the influx of new recruits, the important checkpoint city of Bresden is given an entire year of the military funding to expand its trade, but more extensively, its defenses, enormously. The Shining City on the Rhön will receive massive stone walls of unparalleled thickness. Over the course of a year, cannon foundries will be contracted to build over 450 heavy cannons for the garrison of this city alone. In addition, the city receives a second Korps headquarters just to coordinate this massive undertaking.

Perhaps the most impressive undertaking, however, is a gigantic set of pillars sunk deep into the edges of the mouth of the river. Looking more like enormous lighthouses, they will stand solemn guard over the formal entrance to the Kyrevan state as huge guard towers and fortifications, each mounting several unique 60lb cannons.

That is not to say that trade was left alone. While the military docks and drydocks on the east side are to be expanded, the trade docks on the lake side are also set to be extended.

Some have argued this is merely a show of extreme power by the Kaiser, whose rule is slowly beginning to draw to a close.

Small caravans are sent to explore and document the untapped resources of the desert between Sonodine and Romek-Inen. Another such convoy is sent east, to the remote mountain range uninhabited by man.

Are there any iron veins running through my mountains?

Serisian colonization efforts continue eastward, and territory is claimed along the shore up to the eastern border of Milhamiah.
Nami settlers and farmers move out East, and so does the border defense.
Fravath expands south west, covering move of the river.
Done.  The territories are now enclosed.

The explorers are given permission to contact home.

The explorers also notice that locals and passersby throughout the city look at them strangely, as though they've never seen someone of their kind before.
The explorers sent home three representatives to Collineville after making a draft map and packing up supplies.

The explorers feel slight discomfort at this, but nonetheless proceed to where their guides are bringing them.

The foreign ambassador and his entourage allow the Arconian party to brew this drink with these strange fragrant beans.

The drink is well liked and a cup is brought to the Emperor himself. He immediately requests a trade route to obtain more of this bean, called "coffee" in their tongue.

To this end, a number of Milhamite ships sitting in dock are refit for trade and ocean journeys to Arcon.
The Arconian party leaves the emperor with another box of beans.  Two books are left with the emperor, namely "The Science of Coffee" and "Arconian Culinary Encyclopedia, Vol. 46" (Features coffee and the ways it can be prepared according to Arconian culinary knowledge), in addition to a letter addressed from Prince Önecht himself.  In it, he addresses the emperor, hearing of his conquests and praising him on his success.  He hopes that our two nations will become close, and hope that he may reguard the honorable emperor as a friend.  To finish, he wishes good will and good health upon him.

Swat, do I have underground lakes and how do I access them?
Yes, you have some from limited springs in the mountains, however, it is not sufficient to feed your growing population.  As far as how to find them, this is an RP, so take it from there.

The scientists of Izlandia have discovered that the wool of their sheep can be converted compltely in to heat and light Energy in a process more efficient and lasting than fire.
We have yet to find a way to harness this power, but once we do, the possibilities of incredible technologies powered by sheep will be limitless.
We will need more time to research this, expect more rsults in a year or two.
Yes, I've been guilty of pseudo-science in the past, but it's not quite time to explore that yet.  I had thought of making this a steampunk fantasy-based thing before I started, but I'm pretty sure that most people would want to continue with nations imitating real life politics, economics, and technology.  I'm going to keep it that way unless popular demand overwhelmingly favors fantasy.  So as Tristan said, this discovery is voided.

As far as I can tell, the goal of a game without defined rules is to go as far as you can until someone tells you to stop.
Imma keep going until word of God comes down to force me to back down.
You're right, but as I said to Neventii:
[...]you violated rule 1, which also covers "fabricating ludicrous numbers and statistics out of nowhere".  I had hoped that this implied more strongly that players could not fabricate circumstances for strategic resources of their own volition, so yes, I am sorry for being unclear, however, clever manipulation of the rules will not go unpunished.  Ask and you shall receive; it's not that hard of a concept.

Like, what am I supposed to do besides make up dumb stuff?
Surprisingly, as a moderator, I am happy with and fortunate that some users respond to rule violations and confusion by providing answers.  So if you ask a question and two of them are saying the same thing, then it's very likely to be true.

Power to the Pure

Accepted.

i'll take any leftover christians refugees
Avalonia will accept refugees Christian and non-Christian from the wreck that is Sonodine.
Arcon, which has received a huge influx of 1.8 million refugees, begs nations to choose how they are to be divided up, since Arcon cannot support them alone.

Considering no one has responded.

electricity
No.

First of all the lake would evaporate and sink back into the sand.  Second, refer to what I said above.  Let's just say you tap into the aquifer and that's that.

I really do need that technology tree, though.
No you don't.  Think of any technology and where you currently are, and factcheck it.  It's not that hard.
