Sundong ist nicht ein Reich.
Es ist ein Herzogtum.

Du hast einen kleinen und schwache Armee. Kyrev würde nicht mit Ihnen verbünden, ob es einen Gehirn hat.

stop speaking swastika please

Large cities within Armakahl begin turning into large industrial cities, factories begin being constructed everywhere. With the amount of jobs these factories give, the country begins it's slow progression from a simple nomadic land to an industrial super power.

i mean i dont really think that is possible considering you dont have an input of raw materials... unless your mining.

but then again, we have no clue where materials are. i would just assume the mountains because the way mountains are formed just make it rich in naturally low-level materials + its a pressure cooker.

Anglish merchants begin to sell higher quality silver and gold jewelry and heirlooms, due to a new source of rare materials. They also consider placing their currency on a gold standard.

my demonym is kyrevan, not kyrevian. It's in my nation post :(

Kyrev supports Vlast claims in the area. The alliance request with Sunyong is declined due to cultural and religious differences.

exotic silks & spices
Your land is pretty devoid of water, fertile soil and the like.  Would you like to relocate?

(I think I'll give people these options as they join since I haven't released the resource maps yet)

Again, devoid of readily available water, which is key to industry, let alone maintaining a large population.  And also how does a country go straight from nomads to industrial superpower?

continue rebuilding economy
Economists find that the chief problem is that too many people emigrated.  Crime and looting are frequent daily occurrences.  A few open Christians fight against the sudden radical shift in institution.

Ports are built onto the rivers of Shasta and Sonodine City, to employ people and use capital
Tradesmen stop for simple goods and pass on.  They don't seem to want to leave port for the above reason.

doing stuff with economy and stuff as well as getting natural resources (whatever those might be, hopefully oil).
Well, a lot of that area is good grain and wine country so...  Oil isn't a thing yet.

As a power source? I'm not too sure, I've been looking at that a little, but the first refinery is thirty years off, but crude oil was used before-hand for other things, still making it useful.
It'll be introduced once it becomes of significant strategic, industrial, and economic value.

oh btw anglish farmers figured out they could just grow their own coffee.
But Arconian prices are lower, yes.  :P

Acron - Establish embassy, trade negotiations will be initiated later
Yes, Arcon accepts happily, and also requests for it to be mutual.

These cannons are placed upon fortified towers which have a swiveling/moving turret emplacement in order to aim at targets attempt to traverse the River. A bell is cast and mounted on a central tower to notify if a illegal ship has gone through and to prepare cannons. Ships with the Arconian flag will not be fired on.
Thanks for not shooting me.

If I left anyone out in this update round, PM it to me with the Title of "Missed Update 02/05/16".  Thank you for your patience.

Avalonia: Research Everything So No One Else Can: The Electric Boogaloo 5: Super Power Edition  ;)

Angland finds it odd that it would allow a nation to immediately build an embassy. They hardly know these people! An Anglish noble offers to dine with these diplomats in order to learn more about them. They recognize, however, that their German is quite familiar. Fellow north Germans?  The Avalonian diplomats, having gone to create diplomatic ties, see the dinner as a first step and accept the invitation.

i also don't think they (sonodites) would sell christian artifacts. i struck a deal with their overlords and i think im exclusive, AMIRIGHTAMIRIGHT??  Maybe.  I dunno.

Avalonia - Establish contact  I believe we already have, but I may be wrong.  The Serisian envoys are greeted warmly.

I believe Avalonia's actions were overlooked in the text update, but the map update speaks for itself, so, whatever.

Vjornsberg remains in the newly incorporated city states, touring in celebration, enjoying high society, giving and receiving gifts, and generally making people love him as he has back within the old borders.  His successor soon joins him.

Work on a railroad connecting Nazgar to Porte de l'Este (assuming it's already connected to Auregge) begins.  The Avalonian company involved seeks permission from the Arconian government to continue its work within Arcon, rather than subcontract work out.

An Avalonian invents the electric motor; it's not powerful yet, but it's a start.  As so often happens in Avalonia, he keeps it quiet until he can develop it further and better.  Another develops the pattern tracing lathe, another the hot blast process, another the mechanical reaping machine, and another the pinfire cartridge.

An Avalonian map making company becomes the first in the nation to explore the coastline fully, gathering topographical, and some political and economic data along the way.

if you keep micromanaging inventions like that we'll end up with a nation rp tech race

Avalonia has no monopoly on inventing.  Invent away.  Avalonia just happens to be on the cutting edge because nobody else has bothered to (although I plan on maintaining that position).  My army is, at present at least, mainly defensive, my political/economic influence isn't exceptional, and there are massive powers in all directions - Avalonia's only particular edge is in tech.

I think I'd like to make another nation.
