I'll take this little moment of real-talk to pump some things out. Rather than complaints and stuff think of this as how I generally perceive the rp and its elements thus far from the premier elite rp kritique
The good (aka my tiny pleasures and opinions):
Eins: There are a lot of players. Due to the fact there aren't any NPC nations, this is a very good thing, as it means less people bloating up in the corners and then butting heads endlessly.
Two: There's a good amount of diplomacy and merchantilism going on. I like this.
Trima: Rivers, and the coming of resource maps are (gonna be) hella useful.
Chaar(???): Deserts are my stuff.
Quinque: Despite the length of 'the bad', there's not a lot that I'm disappointed about, and I'm able to largely be satisfied with how most things on this nation rp are handled. That and the fact people are making backstories for their nations is nice.
The bad (aka my tiny grievances and opinions):
Uno: Because Swat One mentioned it before, I was under the assumption there'd be a bit more islands, because after the poll for time/location was made he mentioned there'd be a mix of islands and desert/steppes. But for the most part, I really mostly just see desert.
Deux: Part of me was hoping for NPC nations. They were in the previous rp Swat One hosted before and I thought they added interesting flavor to the setting, and it was kinda a shame to see them gone.
Drie: The map seems... Kinda small? I'm not sure, but part of me thinks its pretty small. It may be some sort of ratio thing, but I was somewhat hoping for something a bit bigger
Vier: Though this isn't entirely the fault of the administration of the rp... Cultural groups seem to be oddly clumped, imo. I could understand with having trouble dropping a largely multi-ethnic based nation like me in a particular spot, but we've got some odd ethnic neighbors and all that in some places. But, due to the nature of these rps, this isn't that important.
Arbe: Though this may be kinda in line with npc nations, tribes and tribals seem to kinda just... Be there, y'know? While not appalled, I was surprised that due to the nature of my nation that I managed to make it so far without any real resistance or attacks thus far, and especially with the native tolerance of my expansions. Especially so with my latest one. I'm hoping that eventually they become more prevalent and meaningful, such as cultural differences and disputes, diseases and all that.
The what are you loving gay (literal stuff):
where are the zulu
jave you starfishs never heard of the geneva convention?
why isnt there tanks yet this is boring honestly
not enough jihads
Not enough steam/diesel/furrypunk, more more more.
But, because Swat ONE actually mentioned it before I'm p. sure, what is your guys actual opinions on diverging from historical methods and going down a more fantastical route? I personally don't mind either way, as I'm pumped for ww1 era and all that, but I wouldn't mind steampunk being a thing as long as it doesn't enable people to become all power steam-masters of warfare, or diesel princes and all that. And I shudder at the thought of Z E P P E L I N T E R R O R or muslim tribal orc imperial assault grenadiers
