I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

And so, the Muslim Confederation was disbanded as the Romek-Turdsacks pillaged the ancient cities of the Xeichi, all tradition was lost as the ancient art of Bushido was outlawed in the cities, Xeichi became more polluted and industrialized after the Romeks took over Xeichi, yet another traditional nation down-the-drain...

not pillaged, just de-muslim'd

:)

multiple xeichi heads of government are deposed and replaced with sonodite and romekati noblemen

after the rebellions' first waves are defeated, the xeichi military is disbanded and its forces are absorbed by the romekati military

a 30,000 man force is left to keep rebels quelled, and the primary military is further consolidated

pls we all know end game we'll start beating each other up

The Avalonian embassy in Wienza suggests a mutual dropping of tariffs to a pittance to foster trade between our two great nations.
Agreed, with the exception of weaponry exports, for the time being anyway.

vlast is top half
seris is bottom half

I'm not saying everyone should, but one super power or one group controlling the game is handicapped.

we don't control what happens in the north and the neutral countries

I've ended an rp with a salvo of nukes before, and I'll do it again if I have to gosh darn it!

Accepted.

Someone please save me from this fgt
The Xeichi reluctantly become vassals of the Romek-Inen to avoid a war with heavy-casualties, Muslim worshipping is outlawed which causes major riots through the cities of Xeichi.

I thought you moved to the north of me, essentially surrounded by me due to my territories, and I thought we were paused? Just wondering cause I don't recall seeing any of that being lifted and the sort.

If not paused, I'd assume by now I'm in Romek territory and burning whatever I can.

And concerning the rifles, before I even made them I asked for express permission from Swat One before hand.

Yes, it's happening, but to be fair this did happen often historically. Great powers would be bitter rivals until a newcomer popped up, in which case they would all beat them up to keep them out of their special great-power club. The solution to this would be a coalition of the non-military-industrial-complex nations fighting a war against essentially the Axis. It's not an impossible fight so long as you get enough people on your side.

It's not really realistic to have everyone have equal power.

I'll just poke in here. While I understand wanting realism and the sort, I'm of the idea that realism should be sacrificed for the enjoyment of all players. Superpowers can manage to make that a problem, and massive blobs on the map ends up being as annoying it is as is playing in west europe in ck2 in the charlemagne age, which giant french areas that for the most part are unbreakable. Rather than making it so that everyones on the same power-scale, I'd suggest making it that even a hermit, with the right tools, tactics, and homeland advantages can manage at one point to give someone a run for their money. The entire homeland advantage thing is why I largely prefer world maps, so that way in terms of realism it isnt just a bunch of christians and muslims dropped into one biome somewhat awkwardly, and lets people expand and become powerful enough so that they have a better chance and stuff.

The new, more modern-thinking government asked that the Romek-Inens supply the police force with modern rifles and sabers, to help contain the on-going Pro-Muslim riots. (Unless the riots have been stopped)

yeah im p sure we're paused for any major combat stuff.

check the post, it's edited

the primary army begins marching to the heartland

And the reason that a hermit could be able to win against unbelievable odds is due to winning from attrition, from simply turtling, or at the very least put a serious hurt on the enemy war machine.

What would be wrong would be a small hermit's army besting a major power's army in a line battle. Even with a deftly handled battle on the power's part, the enemy should eventually be at the very least forced to draw simply to attrition and failing morale due to the era and size difference. Obvious exceptions, such as extreme elite units versus militia, I'm not talking about, but when it is just line troops versus line troops the outcome should not be in question, for now anyways.

I'll take this little moment of real-talk to pump some things out. Rather than complaints and stuff think of this as how I generally perceive the rp and its elements thus far from the premier elite rp kritique

The good (aka my tiny pleasures and opinions):
Eins: There are a lot of players. Due to the fact there aren't any NPC nations, this is a very good thing, as it means less people bloating up in the corners and then butting heads endlessly.
Two: There's a good amount of diplomacy and merchantilism going on. I like this.
Trima: Rivers, and the coming of resource maps are (gonna be) hella useful.
Chaar(???): Deserts are my stuff.
Quinque: Despite the length of 'the bad', there's not a lot that I'm disappointed about, and I'm able to largely be satisfied with how most things on this nation rp are handled. That and the fact people are making backstories for their nations is nice.

The bad (aka my tiny grievances and opinions):
Uno: Because Swat One mentioned it before, I was under the assumption there'd be a bit more islands, because after the poll for time/location was made he mentioned there'd be a mix of islands and desert/steppes. But for the most part, I really mostly just see desert.
Deux: Part of me was hoping for NPC nations. They were in the previous rp Swat One hosted before and I thought they added interesting flavor to the setting, and it was kinda a shame to see them gone.
Drie: The map seems... Kinda small? I'm not sure, but part of me thinks its pretty small. It may be some sort of ratio thing, but I was somewhat hoping for something a bit bigger
Vier: Though this isn't entirely the fault of the administration of the rp... Cultural groups seem to be oddly clumped, imo. I could understand with having trouble dropping a largely multi-ethnic based nation like me in a particular spot, but we've got some odd ethnic neighbors and all that in some places. But, due to the nature of these rps, this isn't that important.
Arbe: Though this may be kinda in line with npc nations, tribes and tribals seem to kinda just... Be there, y'know? While not appalled, I was surprised that due to the nature of my nation that I managed to make it so far without any real resistance or attacks thus far, and especially with the native tolerance of my expansions. Especially so with my latest one. I'm hoping that eventually they become more prevalent and meaningful, such as cultural differences and disputes, diseases and all that.

The what are you loving gay (literal stuff):
where are the zulu
jave you starfishs never heard of the geneva convention?
why isnt there tanks yet this is boring honestly
not enough jihads
Not enough steam/diesel/furrypunk, more more more.

But, because Swat ONE actually mentioned it before I'm p. sure, what is your guys actual opinions on diverging from historical methods and going down a more fantastical route? I personally don't mind either way, as I'm pumped for ww1 era and all that, but I wouldn't mind steampunk being a thing as long as it doesn't enable people to become all power steam-masters of warfare, or diesel princes and all that. And I shudder at the thought of Z E P P E L I N T E R R O R  or muslim tribal orc imperial assault grenadiers

btw there are npc nations out there. this is ooc btw :)

i'd like to stay away from fantasy and steampunk honestly, but i'm extremely hyped for when we arrive at WW1. my guess is that whats going to happen is that most everyone in the RP that wants to fight is going to end up fighting in the near future if not now, one side is going to win, some borders are going to change a little bit and then everyone is going to go quiet until we get to the ironclad proper and pre-dreadnought eras, and then we do it all over again

and im hyped for every part of that

I get that, but a better question is: why the forget do we have superpowers only 8 days into the RP? Just because someone walks in and starts setting up trade shouldn't make them the big richard bully of the map where they can do whatever they want. I saw that you had five stars, and I honestly thought that was handicapped. Your friends can defend that you earned those stars all you want, but when you turned around and said to Swat that Conservatia shouldn't be ten years ahead, that's just stuffty of you. All of the power shouldn't lay with one person or group of people -- and yes, it does, regardless of whether you control the north or not. If I started a nation in the south, I shouldn't have been able to expand anywhere because I would have had big richard bully Romek say, "excuse me you are in my imaginary line of influence and you cant do that. if you cross that line me and my friends will beat you and your weaker friends up lol" and that is exactly what happened.

That. Is. Horsestuff.

because its how the dice fell. kyrev was lucky that he showed the might of his military, made friends, and made an economy based on his iron/steel.
