Author Topic: I am in need of a preferences addon ASAP (Read 1446 times)

I'm so loving tired of fatal errors because of return to blockland's code which sends too much strings when's there's datablocks. Now I cannot host a server because of this. If you tell me I can live without preferences, I can't because I need it to customize my server and such. I've tried Greek2me's preferences addon but I'm afraid it crashes my server the same way orbs and return to blockland do.

The constant crashing may be related to a bug in the new update. Zeblote's modified exe fixes this.

The crashing is due to a bug in RTB where it sends too much strings

If Blockland Glass isn't an option, you could try Chrisbot's Support_Prefs.

I've tried and it said I had no permission to access the prefs when I'm host. Also if it's fixed does it allow other admins to see prefs?

are you absolutely sure you need all those addons enabled? i run 5-6k datablocks and never have this issue

cull music files you don't use, addons that are there just for kicks, excess brick addons (aka don't have demians and blackdragons filler bricks on at the same time), etc etc.

Hmm. Alternative idea. I am very neglecting on disabling addons but I will post my console log with all my addons and please tell me what to remove with a reason.

do you have both glass and rtb on? or is that your console log with Glass?

i don't see anything remotely reaching the string limit in there. you have some unnecessary addons that i could suggest removing but it doesn't seem like you're hitting any limit

I have both glass and RTB on. I'll try disabling glass.

Its ridiculous to do this anyway, as you'll have to deal with overwritten datablocks as demian's and blackdragon's conflict with each other. They each use the same UI names for some bricks that are actually different shapes.

Use goth RTB. It is compatible with Daprogs rtb but there is no IRC
