early reviews seem to be saying the ending was ["anticlimactic" or "unsatisfying" but everything else is being praised to death]

yes, I love it. it's my favorite story on that subreddit. I also really like the one about "whistlers", borrasca (I don't wanna spoil anything but let's just say "trigger warnings" galore near the end, okay), and, of course, the search and rescue stories
