the 'health' part is a pretty big label for it but if you want to break it down, a fraction of it is medical insurance and a larger fraction is actually health, which includes things like funding into research projects, prescriptions, medication & health related things. stuff that would objectively kill lives if left defunded.

actually i was repeating what politifact said- health and human services. however, the very dumbed down graph they gave says 'health' which i guess could be as accurate as an umbrella term can be

regardless the 'we spend too much on military' notion still stands. just because we spend more on making sure american citizens are entitled to secure health and lifestyle doesn't mean we aren't spending a lot on military. keep in mind treatment for soldiers probably falls under the health section too
