I doubt there's really a trustworthy and unbiased fact checking site on the internet. Everyone's got bills to pay and people that pay 'em. Tampa Bay Times owns politifact and they haven't endorsed a Republican candidate in over 100 years.

The sentiment isn't that rich people need to be punished - it's that using tax revenue for the welfare of society is better than killing off social safety nets just to make the rich even richer.

Hiking taxes 10% on a billionaire has effectively no influence on their quality of life. Pull healthcare from millions of people, and thousands will die.
