The next few years scare me. Annoying Orange and his staff are not what i feel a president and the cabinet should be. I wont be referring to him as a president until he proves he's actually capable of it.
I'm not a big fan of the 'Not My President' mantra because we should absolutely take collective responsibility, liberal or conservative, for what's happened here. Just because we didn't vote for him doesn't mean that we can pretend that he's not representing our country and not threatening to erode decades of social/environmental policy and foreign relations.
On the 20th, he's our president, and he'll have all the powers of a president. That's a reality we should probably be more vocal about.
In the new testament was it "if you do x you will go to hell" or was it "if you do x you will be put to death"?
Mostly the former, but that's not the point I'm trying to make. What I'm saying is that large groups of Christians have, in the past, collectively committed atrocities and used religion to justify it. But we, as a majority-Christian nation, aren't first to blame the religion for why that happened.
