I wouldn't trust this notion at all.
it is, though. it's a rule specific to the drama section so people don't dismiss the actual problems people make threads about.

I think that illegals deserve two things in the process.  They deserve a short session where the government confronts them and says, "Start becoming a citizen or leave." An ultimatum of sorts.  Like you could just cart people off, or you could give them a choice to comply or be carted off.  Next, I think the immigration system is unnecessarily complex and needs to be simplified.

Republicans had to put up with Democrats for 8 years straight. Pretty sure the turnout and result of this election is a part of some internalized frustration which the Democrats did nothing to try and even attempt to help cool down. Reality is that in party politics there isn't any true respect for eachother. People like to imagine there is though and that's hilarious.

Reality is that the turnout was in part due to the hubris of the left thinking that Hillary had it in the bag, and partly due to her just being a weak candidate in the first place. I seriously doubt this "Internalized frustration" manifested itself enough to be solely responsible for electing Annoying Orange. It was a close enough victory that I'd wager having a more favorable Democratic candidate would have probably resulted in the Democratic party winning the election.

Also, respect is a two-way street. At the end of the day, both parties only want what they think is good for America. Everyone seems to forget this. If you want to get upset, get upset at the policy, not the person.

too real :(

From what I heard from my democrat friends, the more painful thing was watching liberal rioters complain about Annoying Orange winning despite not actually voting themselves.

When the extremists have their own hubris bite themselves in the butt

Election day should be a national holiday so people can actually vote. I think California is supporting a bill for this.

This. I can't think of a single good reason why it shouldn't be a holiday.
