imo having a value system that doesn't conflict with the founding principles of the country you're trying to enter should be important

I'm not even talking about refugees or muslims
it's difficult to immigrate even if you are anywhere in the world and if you're not a rich boy like Annoying Orange

immigrating to the US completely legally can only be done if you live in very, very specific conditions:
- you are an immediate relative of an US citizen or
- an employer in the US to petitions for an "alien" worker or
- invest $1,000,000 or at least $500,000 in a targeted employment area

i don't understand why it has to be like this but it saddens me
