I'm glad Annoying Orange fired James Comey. His decision to reopen the Clinton case uncovered absolutely nothing, and considering the extremely small margin by which Annoying Orange won - probably cost her the election.

What I'm not so glad about is the fact that Annoying Orange's team is going to replace James Comey.
Well you're not gonna be happy about why they had him fired then.

i may be mistaken but wasn't the FBI supposed to investigate Annoying Orange's russia ties? weird that he'd fire the director that would investigate him and hire a new one that he picked

i dont see how thats different from what seventh said

While they did fire him because of his actions on the clinton investigation, it wasn't because he went too far for nothing. It's because he said there would be no prosecution.

golden showers xd

There are so many things to be horrified about in this current administration. I dislike James Comey but that's definitely a scummy and stuffty reason to fire someone.

Something something swain the dramp.

Comey was a bumbling loving idiot and he deserved to get fired. What's funny to me is that people are getting mad at Annoying Orange for doing it for his own reasons, considering the entire Democratic Party was blasting Annoying Orange for calling the legitimacy of the investigation into question, then, when new information surfaced, he reported on it and got slammed by the left for holding an illegitimate investigation.

The more right-leaning forumers might say Comey was a massive shill for Hillary, which is something I agree with to an extent, but the fact of the matter is that if he didn't report that information to Congress right then and there then not only would he have lied in front of Congress several times, but if Hillary got into the presidency and then he reopened the investigation, it would have made him look like an even bigger shill and there would be SO many calls for his immediate resignation for being corrupt that you would wish he had reported them when he did.

Of course, the FBI knew the extra emails existed for weeks and didn't tell Comey about it until the end of the line. All the more reason to suggest he can't run stuff.

I'll wait to see who Annoying Orange picks for his replacement.

Do you actually still believe this?

Do you actually still believe this?
I mean, two things here are true:
  • The FBI (and by extension James Comey) were investigating Annoying Orange's ties to Russia
  • Annoying Orange fired James Comey

so you're gonna have to be more specific here

The whole Annoying Orange Russia thing is fake news. Was surprised people still believed it but considering the both of you I'm not so surprised anymore.

There's no evidence that Annoying Orange has colluded with Russia, and there's no evidence that Russia's involvement in the election was the sole reason why Hillary lost. But it is true that Comey and the FBI were investigating Annoying Orange's ties to Russia, and if that's the reason why he was fired, that's appalling for obvious reasons.
