the purpose those were made were more so for the betterment of society as opposed to making bank
people don't try and make a cure for cancer to become trillionaires, they do it to stop millions of unnecessary deaths

that being said, yeah economics will be a factor, you still need to be able to make enough money to produce and distribute the product
the massive wave of cash is a side-effect of forwarding society, not the cause of it

People say this stuff literally every single time that a western nation gets a wave of immigration. They did it with blacks, they did it with the Germans/Irish, they did it with Hispanics, and they did it with the Chinese. All of these groups, despite cultural differences, have managed to find their own ways to assimilate into our society. The exact argument about 'refusal to assimilate' and 'death of culture/identity' has been used every single time immigrants show up in history, and it is always wrong. Statistically speaking, it was probably used against your own ancestors at one point in time. And yet every single time, it's bullstuff.

Nobody's culture and identity is dying. If you want to eat pork and worship Jesus, you will always be able to do that in the United States. But what won't stand is letting people be subjugated solely because of their religion or race. If that's the 'cultural identity' you want to protect, then I hope we kill the stuff out of it.

Agreed. There's a difference between assimilating and forming enclaves of your mother country in your host land.  

For example, people in Little Italy in NYC aren't forming unofficial police forces to enforce Italian law on people, but Syrians in Germany and Sweden are doing so for Sharia law, berating people drinking alcohol in public, stores which sell pork, people walking dogs, women in public without their husband, etc.

There are literally giant street fights between migrant groups in Paris almost every day, and the police station in Malmo has been attacked 4 times in the past 2 yrs with hand grenades
