AKA Mitch McConnell stops advocating for what the people who voted him into office didn't want done and he's now going to try doing what they actually want done

You know they had like 6 years to figure this out right

You know they had like 6 years to figure this out right

Just goes to show you the Republicans don't give a stuff about what their constituents vote for either
I'd argue none of the politicians do

Why aren't people talking about Jeff Sessions' Civil Asset Forfeiture? I agree with why he's doing it but I'm concerned w/ the precedent he's setting, plus the fact that the way civil asset forfeiture works is currently bullstuff.

if people aren't supporting their replacements because they leave millions without coverage compared to obamacare then they're probably not going to support going with nothing at all, esp. considering all the universally helpful provisions of ACA like staying on parent's coverage until you're 26 or w/e

jeff sesh is trying to bring back D.A.R.E lol

cuz you know it worked the last time

yeah let's restart the war on drugs
the totally not tribal solution to drug abuse

i guess ignorance is bliss
This post is a great example of why that's bullstuff.

look into the high penalties on possession crack cocaine (popular among poor black communities) vs the penalties for trafficking of powder cocaine. (popular with middle and upper class white people)
Quote
Persons convicted in federal court of possession of 5 grams of crack cocaine received a minimum mandatory sentence of 5 years in federal prison. On the other hand, possession of 500 grams of powder cocaine carries the same sentence.
that's a 100:1 ratio starting in the 80s. Today it is an 18:1 ratio.

incarceration rates between races

but I guess it's easier to deny racism ever existed in the government

actually black people have disproportionate incarceration rates for nearly every single category of crime:

why is this

Stop the war on crime

why is this
it's because they also have a disproportionately high poverty rate
