They do

that welfare state is really helping them get a heads up

that welfare state is really helping them get a heads up

What does this even mean

What does this even mean

this means welfare isn't helping you loving idiot

this means welfare isn't helping you loving idiot
helps em not starve at least lol, obvs just throwing money at people isn't enough to solve all their long-term problems

this means welfare isn't helping you loving idiot
what do you mean "free money doesnt help poor people"

this means welfare isn't helping you loving idiot

Kinda hard when conservatives have been wrecking the welfare state since Nixon

Also you're honestly such a smug piece of stuff. Why do you deserve any of my respect when all you do is call other people "idiot", "handicap", "autistic".

What does this even mean

Welfare works in some cases but it's also abused in others, and it also seems to hold people back unintentionally. An example of this is my friend Johnny. His mom gets welfare, but he can't get a job. If he gets a job, they lose the welfare, and the job wouldn't be enough to support them without it.

Also this. I feel like welfare should come with certain conditions that allow for the person to work their way out of needing welfare. As it stands people who are on welfare tend to never get off of it for one reason or another.

As ironic as it is for me to say this, irony?

It's not really, I've only really attacked RS once or twice whereas he's just constantly throwing around "autistic" and "handicap" like the words mean nothing

if you're going to do this i defo think you need to at least help people out, offer services to help people find employment, get training if they need it, and ideally make higher education more obtainable (also increase the general quality of public education systems while you're at it to help people who are still taking advantage of them). it's hard to solve all those problems on your own, and expecting people to always just pull themselves up by the bootstraps is a pretty harsh deal

Welfare is generally enough to survive, but as raising wages for lower-skilled jobs is seen as radical leftist terrorism, those jobs have gradually supported families less than welfare. Needless to say, this consolidates large demographic groups into welfare-reliant states. This is the system destroying the middle class and the working class, driving us closer to the existence of only 2 classes: The impoverished and the elites. This is, for all intents and purposes, fuedalism rearing its head once more. This is the path capitalism is going down, and it is impossible to reverse without an uprooting of the system.

you have no idea what you're talking about

every successful person will have a history working "those jobs"
that's because working those jobs is supposed to give you cred to work higher-paying, higher-skill jobs later on

"not raising the minimum wage will throw us back into the dark ages"
who's the radical again

They also happen to have rich parents who pay to put them in private schools populated by rich children, so they have personal connections to other rich people. Their wealth also happens to get them into prestigious universities, where they make even more profitable connections. Even without factoring in inheritance, you can draw your own conclusions.

Do you honestly think minimum wage jobs help you get any kind of job beyond managing other minimum wage workers? Even then, management positions don't make you qualified for anything besides other low-paying management positions. How long have you even been in the job market?
