"Venezuela proves socialism can't work" is a bad meme. They based their whole economy on oil, and combined with their lazy attitude towards the domestic agricultural system and food pricing a recession was bound to happen.

The same thing could be said of Bezmenov himself. Once his ultimate dream of a right-wing nationalist government opposite the Soviets is realized, he'll have no purpose and will be left to fend for himself. Kind of like how Bezmenov isn't relevant at all in Putin's Russia.

Communist Russia collapsed because Gorbachev took the Communist Party's role of governing out of the constitution, thus destabilizing the region and basically giving leeway to regional nationalist and anti-communist activism that dissoulted the Soviet Union.

That's my main problem with communism and consider myself a DemSoc, you can't really have a proper communist state without complete uninterrupted control of the government

I'll take the destructive flaws of capitalism over the destructive flaws of communism any day. With capitalism you have a chance of many people ending up in poverty, whereas in communism EVERYONE is living in loving squalor.

Annoying Orange hasn't been able to get a majority of what he was elected into office for done because every single time he lifts his finger the media explodes and the GOP has to step back and concede ground until his plans shrivel up into nothing, as opposed to Obama who basically had a free ride with the news stations

This is just speculation, but if this turns out to be true, it will be the only time that market principles have ever stopped an overzealous capitalist from destroying the environment.

the alternative was Annoying Orange would stick with the paris agreement, and foot the world's bill and reducing our GDP by over $2.5 trillion, and losing 400k jobs within a decade.
