That being said, there is no evidence that the actual results were changed as a result of these hacks. But the election was, quite literally, hacked.

imagine if the government did what it was supposed to do and not get involved in healthcare in the first place

Yeah, we'd have a company with monopolistic control over healthcare to the point of being able to artificially drive up the price of treatment while you have literally no other options beyond flying outside of the country. That would be awesome.

look on the bright side, we're already halfway there!

or it'd be like phone companies, TV companies, washing machine companies, realtor companies, fast food restaurants and other businesses, with a few big ones and a lot of small ones

y'know, like what ACTUALLY happens with capitalism

like right now

Good loving point. Our healthcare system is already a huge mess because of corporate meddling and conflict of interest. Do you really think axing all checks and restrictions on healthcare will fix it?

we should just kill everyone they're gonna die anyways

Wishful thinking, but if healthcare is already in the state it's in because of corporate meddling, it's not going to magically sort itself out if you go with the nuclear option and axe all federal involvement in healthcare. The already existing issues will only get amplified because there's no stopping that anymore, and any benefits that we got with government intervention dissolve into a nice big stuff sundae.

ACA was, if not at it's best misguided, a step in some right direction. Still was more of a band-aid than a solution, but going the way of Libertarian la-la land is only going to forget us on any deal.

it sounds handicapped to say, but let's really think about this; if corporations are as really into money as everyone says they are, then realistically they have more of an obligation to keep you alive than the government does

the government's existence does not depend on the quality of healthcare they provide; meanwhile these companies will phase out of existence if people aren't satisfied with them

what needs to be done is to encourage competition within the industry, and the only way to do that is to remove restrictions and subsidies that keep starfish monopolizing companies alive
