there's a reason noose and news sound so similar

tv news stations are boring and a waste of time
the only reliable and trustworthy news station is our boy tony

CNN is literally shilling all the time for the Democrat Party
Fox News is literally shilling all the time for the Republican Party
There is literally no monetary incentive to supply the public with fair or unbiased reporting under Capitalism

PBS does it pretty well though

Because they're government funded.

Strange how that works.

yeah we should just have government run all the media

oh no the media's lying to the american people about what the government's doing imagine that

I mean I'm not wrong though. People are going to try to watch what panders to their world view if it is available, and as long as the market is in control of broadcasting, that is going to be exploited. No matter what you watch, it is going to be slanted to appeal to a specific audience.

Is it really hard to comprehend the absence of a competitive market? The government doesn't have to run anything, but so long as the alternative is demographic-pandering market nonsense, even government-funded entities have more reliable coverage.

It's not about being wrong or right, you're always hiding behind an ironic facade and nobody wants to associate with your legitimate opinions because they don't want to be associated with the fool; that would be effectively undermining their own views.

If you had made an effort to separate your ironic antics from your legitimate posts, you wouldn't have poisoned the well and this wouldn't be an issue, but it is an issue. The fact that you keep doing this leads me to believe you're not aware of what you're doing.

I mean I get what you're saying, but it's not really an ironic facade. The overarching theme of my account is that I always post about anti-capitalism, but they're all very real and debatable positions. I'm makig actual arguments, but the novelty comes from the fact that I only engage in very specific arguments. You seem to be insisting that there needs to be some kind of personal aspect/connection to Internet Arguments, when that's really not necessary. Whether or not I personally agree 100% with the argument I'm making doesn't matter, what matters is that I am presenting an actual argument for debate.

That's funny because the CBC in Canada is one of the most disgustingly biased news outlets there is and they are completely government funded.

Who's citing Sean Hannity or cnn on anything though wtf are you talking about
dude who do you think is propagating this story that Seth Rich was killed by the DNC for leaking docs?

Don't you think our relationship is strained enough without another round of sanctions? I think it's pretty ridiculous to keep loving with the only other nuclear power capable of mutually assured destruction.
In the modern world, sanctions are how we pressure nations to change their behavior without having to invade them. If we remove sanctions from Russia, we are doing nothing to address the fact that they illegally invaded one of our allies and stole some of their sovereign territory.

Also, if we have mutually assured destruction like you say we do, then there's no way they'll nuke us anyway. Emphasis on the whole 'mutual' part.

The Soviet Union maintained a policy of "Second Strike Only" during the Cold War. Would not surprise me if Russia is keeping up that policy.
