why don't we just ban all semi autos already?????

why would you ban semi autos lol

why would you ban semi autos lol

So I can have ultimate fire superiority with my lever-action

id be okay with banning semi autos if it meant that lever actions would make a comeback

bolt action > lever action

@grim that's the exact kind of argument i was looking for. kearn didnt provide it, but i figured he was implying it. its best to get actual confirmation that was the reason he pointed it out.

any idea why they're so out of control? seems like there should be less gun-focused ways to keep the population from exploding every year
essentally what i’ve been told is that they are domestic pigs that have been cross bread with eurasian boar coupled with the warmer climate in the south leading to a population explosion. Essentally think a small boar repeoducing as fast/faster than a domestic pig. The bigger issue is that a non weapon solution probably will get eaten by other animals and thus posioning the food chain, leading to disasterous results. I do know they’re doing reserch for bait only hogs will eat. Consider this: we use deer corn covered in gas to bait hogs because normally they’re the only ones that will eat em.

This really hits most of the issues on the head

bolt action > lever action
caseless ammo action > all action

TIL Texas is a perpetual feral pig orgy

not even 10 years ago, the m4 was still in active use. the m16, which is definitely in use today, is also semi/burst. you don't need automatic fire from your rifle in a warzone.
ever heard of uuuuuuuuuh suppressing fire

To the best of my knowledge, the reason the M16 is semi/burst is because during the Vietnam era the weapon was fully automatic. As it turns out, this made it wildly ineffective. They had to restrict the weapons to burst/semi because the soldiers using the weapons were annihilating their ammo supply more than the enemy.

This is also an amusing argument to claim that automatic weapons are safer than semi-automatic weapons, if you wanted to be cheeky about it.

Another amusing little aside, is this gem of a situation. Which seems to suggest that even machineguns aren't sufficient for large game hunting.

caseless ammo action > all action

throwing rocks > firearms

replace all the guns with spring powered airsoft guns

problem solved

emus are nothing compared to feral pigs when it comes to distruction and AR’s work grear

Interesting how the Emu situation greatly improved when the task was handed over to armed civilians :cookieMonster:
