I think talking about arming teachers is about as helpful to the conversation as the people who try to discuss banning guns
It's just so out of the question for the other side there's literally no point trying to bring it up because they'll just shut down and tell you to forget off
i made that post specifically in response to red spy since i thought he was a conservative and would support some way of arming schools, but i guess hes really just a naysayer more than anything
i do agree its helpful and definitely a policy worth considering. idk why red spy implies he doesnt think so.
Why not just place a cop in each sch-

one cop's cowardice doesnt mean the whole idea is bad. just like how one cop's racism and brutality doesnt speak for all cops either. either he was more cowardly than he expected, or it wasn't part of his job description and so didn't expect nor want to put his life on the line.
you can play the morality card on him and stuff on him not wanting to risk his life for kids, but a lot of people dont always act humanely or heroically when thrown into a situation unexpectedly. usually people react better when prepared for it, ie "you may have to risk your life as part of this job, are you willing to do this?"
