how can I tell if my monitor is 120hz

i swear it said it on the box but im looking it up online and it says nothing about how many Hz it is

Play around with your resolution settings. If it shows "OUT OF RANGE", it can't handle that frequency. Hit ESC and Windows will return to the previous settings. (Or wait ~15 seconds)

assuming youre using windows go to display settings > advanced display settings and click on dat display adapter properties

Hz is a unit invented by Hertz which was the first artificial wave.
Hertz indicates the amount of cycles per second. Computers have a very high amount of cycles per second, which is why they use gigahertz.
i was referring to screens in particular. i've taken basic physics so i know what the unit means

You'd need a screen with more than 200hz to test this, but most likely no.
thanks, that's what i thought.
