Author Topic: a bunch of standalone weapons  (Read 5495 times)

I would like to help Beta Test or maybe even help with the code.

These are some great ideas I'd love to see done. Don't really have a whole lot of time to do them myself, though.

I would like to help Beta Test
You don't need beta testers for weapons.
You need beta testers for multi-thousand line projects where there's lots of things to do and therefore lots of things to test and potentially go wrong.
But a weapon either works or doesn't. The person coding it can test that.

maybe even help with the code.
Then pick a weapon and do it.

I would call the garbage gun the "trash cannon" instead
cus trash is easier to say than "garbage" first of all, and also it's definitely gotta be "cannon" either way because "trash can" I mean come on, even if you go with "garbage" it's the best

i love how grimy the name garbage gun is

garbage gun implies the gun is garbage, which it is

trash cannon implies the gun is trash, which it isnt.

there's a difference

garbage gun implies the gun is garbage, which it is
trash cannon implies the gun is trash, which it isnt.
what

trash cannon's nomenclature is specific enough that it sounds like it literally fires trash (which it does)

garbage gun's nomenclature is a little less precise (because 'garbage' is a generic (if sort of wordy) term and 'gun' is SUPER generic) so it sounds like it could be describing anything that is a stuffty gun

like i could call something a garbage gun without literally meaning it's a gun that shoots garbage but trash cannon sounds like it actually shoots trash

which it does but we have to be subtle about it

trash-tier model, trog
looks like it came out of the damn dumpster
