Author Topic: which .RAR opener is the best .RAR opener  (Read 5009 times)

i used to use winrar but people have told me that 7zip is better so I just started using that. They seem to be the same tbh, they both do their job fine.

Actually WinRAR
If there's an error in a multi-partitioned archived file, WinRAR actually tells you which one it is, unlike 7zip

I've always used IZArc for archive files, except that it was infected with malware at some point, but then the devs fixed it, but i think it's been infected again :panda:

Yes, but I was assuming OP probably wanted a free option. Could be wrong though.

Yeah p sure it just says you need to pay for it then you just click x and continue using it

i always hate how certain zip/rar openers dont let you do certain things

for instance, windows explorer lets you look at pictures but you cant edit anything

7zip lets you edit things but you cant view pictures

winrar lets you do both but doesnt let you rename files (i think) plus you get that buy now message popping up
