lol, for stretched (what i play) it makes the models bigger, and in turn easier to hit. Also the fov being smaller is good because i got easily distracted. Saying "theres no reason to play it" is dumb. The biggest reason next to being easier to hit, is my sensitivity feels better on 4:3.
Smaller FOV gets you killed and gives you less information. You're gimping yourself.
(There are many examples of this floating around, even happened during a tournament match)
You can adjust the viewmodel variables using an autoexec, try it.
Adjust the sensitivity so it feels good in proper resolution.

There is no reason to play 4:3 on a larger monitor.

Rumor has it:

Here's some strings for the Series 1 pins and dealing with upcoming web-based Pick'Em solutions: https://github.com/SteamDatabase/GameTracking/commit/2b1380ccb41b53d5144094f55f831776e24fc48b

Loads of low-level changes (if you want to see everything, add .diff to the end of the URL): https://github.com/SteamDatabase/GameTracking/commit/a425e29dedb402b3591fc723470453305317bc3f

If for whatever reason you need to revert from this update, a previous version branch named "1.35.3.4" (for the state of the game as of the 5/19/16 update with that same version number) was made available

Size is ~145 MB

so basically pins are worth nothing now

"theres no reason to play 4:3".
  • Better fps
  • bigger models if stretched
  • easier to focus with a lower fov (this is personal to me but i have heard someone say this too)
  • sensitivity feels different on different resolution (for me 4:3 450 dpi feels better than 1080)
  • it's feels faster than 1080
i mean if you think theres "no reason" than obviously you're dumb and you can't consider the benefits with just one con. Honestly it's preference, it doesn't matter what resolution, sensitivity, or dpi you have. It's litterally all preference. I don't see why you're disregarding 4:3, i used 1080p for months then switched, i like 4:3 better.

you guys are arguing over a screen size jfc
just use what you want and stop stuffting on eachother
