Macs are even worse, they regularly have software updates that just make all of the old programs stop working - even first party apple products.  AND Apple as already shown that they will remove apps and data from your device whenever convenient for them.

I have used a mac for the better part of my life and I can honestly say I have never had that.

Spam emails are so strange.

I want to know the people behind them.

my dad made me upgrade to windows 10 and it does literally nothing windows 7 didn't do
well it intrudes on your stuff even more than windows 7 so there's that

Nah, I have 7. It repeatedly says that I should update to 10 but I tell it to forget off then it pops back up the next day
There is a way to stop that from happening, Google it!
With Google you can.. Oh, you get the gist.

Speaking about Windows 10, can anyone back up what I've heard?:

Windows 10 was recently a forced update if you hadn't yet, and had to disable a setting to turn that off.
Windows 10 does not let you disable forced auto-update, so you HAVE to update it when it tells you to.

These are rumors I think so can anyone confirm?

I was in the same situation you are in.  1. is correct, although it will keep nagging you to update forever and ever, but 2. is due to lack of technical knowledge.

My Lenovo Erazer desktop is still Windows 8.1 because Windows 10 decided to screw with my drivers, or whatever it tried to mess with, making most of my games and modeling software useless (Maybe it has something to do with the fact I installed two incompatible AMD graphics cards tailored to each moniter) So I backed up all of my data and imported it into my now-reverted desktop.

Boy, you never know when that backup disc becomes handy.  If it does auto-update to Windows 10, shove that lovely disc in if you have one.

I believe the fact that my MSI Apache Pro laptop came with Windows 10 meant that there would be no conflictions, as it may have been designed with W10 in mind. I have not had trouble using my applications on that computer.

I have disabled a lot of W10 features, as they interfere more than anything.  I'd say it's a solid OS if you disable all of the flamboyant tumors, (and if you don't mind some of your data being relayed)  However, I much prefer Windows 7, and I would not have updated.  However, this is the bane when buying new computers.

Deleted programs from your PC without warning? When/why?
Anything the OS claims to be incompatible, though deleted programs usually work fine upon reinstallation anyway. I've recently found out I've had drivers and programs for my video card dodgily removed without even knowing.

I've attempted to run KOTOR which is incompatible with Win10 and it's still there.

That must be why my desktop couldn't render anything in 3D, and why the same software worked fine in my laptop.

Linux Gentoo is the most customizable.

you need to compile the entire thing from source code and install it yourself
