Get rid of the black bricks, it makes the castle look really bland and hard to make out.

Just because there have been stupider and stufftier crowdfunding events doesn't mean people are going to donate $10,000 to you.

What about this castle? Only about 18,000 bricks. Shouldn't cost no more than 500 dollars to make.

If I were to gain trust with people this much significantly smaller and cheaper castle might do it.

I ordered bulk bricks for a rl castle im making.
Blue-grey is my color of choice

Take pics. I could make some bad ass castle then sell it for double.

Pay to buy the set to build it yourself? Sure

Pay just to look at it? No

I think I'll do a test at gofundme and see how it goes

Well lego bricks are spendy lol. Variety isnt much an option.
I bought:
X6000 2x4 bluegrey
X1500 2x4 green
X1000 2x2 bluegrey
X500 2x2 green
X500 3x4 slant black
X100 3x2 slant black

I cant remember the exact price since each type had to be bought in 2 or 3 bulks each at different prices. But i would guess about 600 dollars.

I havnt started yet, im building it on bl first to plan it xd

600 for less than 18,000 bricks? Damn. That's how many bricks my tiny castle is.

White is a cheaper color i think. But i demanded my bluegrey xd.
Online, mega builders usually use white for castles.

tony your small grey/white castle would be good if the terrain was cut down. the way it is it seems at least a third of the bricks are terrain which is ehhhhhh.

also note that if you're going to build an entire castle exterior, generally you could cut out or greatly simplify the interior since its much harder to appreciate irl.

the bricks you can buy at lego.com are like 10cents or more each.

don't know how applicable it is, but i just made this script that makes a list of how many of each type/color brick you would need to buy to make a blockland build. here's what it did to demo house:
