That auto searches sales for parts for lego sets ir digital designer models.

I've stated this to Tony, and I'll say it again.

People are not accustom to Black castles, because it is not normally done. When you google "Lego Castle", there are going to be very few black castles.Although your black castle may be loving amazing for a black castle, it is not what people are normal to seeing, so it will generally look odd, especially with the brown brick colors in contrast. You probably won't be able to change peoples opinion on "A light grey castle is normal", as we will not be able to change your opinion on "This is a black lego castle, and it is normal."

Plus if you have a large mass of an extremely dark color, the edges get washed out. It's basic visual design.

A rl castle in all black looks better then a bl one. Just because shaders dont show off dark builds very well. While a real one has lots of reflecting on bricks, making edges and details stick out more.

Maybe because with the motion of your player edges don't blend in like they would with a still picture.

That is most certainly not the case. Motion is what makes detail blend in.
