Author Topic: Tips for stamina?  (Read 2514 times)

Here's the thing. I have up to April 30th to be able to run 1km in under 5 minutes without stopping. I'm looking for tips everywhere because here's the catch: I cannot let anyone close to me know because they take me like a lazyass gamer (which is true) so no gym and any sort of trajectories must be within my normal route which has a fair amount of walking parts or parts which can be changed from bus to walk.

tl;dr: gimme tips to withstand 1km while running without stopping under 5 minutes.

I was told to try filling my backpack with heavy stuff and running 500m but I sounds a bit non-functional. dunno. What does BLF say?

jog every day or every two days to build up your stamina points

the backpack thing is interesting though

Just loving run it's not hard. Start light and each week bump it up.

go to the park and loving run every day

if you can't run a 1000m then just run what you can

the next day do a little more. and the next more than that and so on.

this is called working out.

or you know do that

Just don't stop. It's really easy. Ignore your body screaming at you to stop.

I haven't run in years but I can still do 1.6 km in 7 minutes easily.

listen to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK-lGSYKaaM while working out
pushed me over the edge plenty of times

work in HIIT into your workout
sprint for some distance (~50 - 80m), wait 30 seconds, turn around and do it again
this works your anaerobic and aerobic systems and will help improve cardiovascular function

this is what I've been doing and awhile ago i made a similar topic and a lot of people bashed me for not being able to run I think a 5k in under 21 25 minutes but after training I ran a 5k in 17 minutes

Ok so up to what point can I ignore my body's pain and agony before it can be seriously harmful?

when it really hurts

don't take it too fast

Well, it IS a 1km RUN. Mathemagically, it's ~17m/s which is a lot.
