Author Topic: How do you guys make a game fun again?  (Read 3199 times)

Play it co-op, I love messing around with friends. It's always great when you and your friend forget about and then crazy stuff happens.

make blockland great again

I've been delving into SMW rom hacks lately, and they are fun.

i just wait 3-4 years to play a singleplayer game again
you know what happens but you don't know when so it's still surprising

do new challenges for yourself
yes

like that one guy who was too much of a pro on super mario 64 so he tries to not ever use the a button

something like that

or wait

you could try super mario war, the original super mario maker

http://supermariowar.supersanctuary.net
you get to make your own maps and duke it out with up to 8? enemies (bot marios), and it supports 4 player single keyboard play

in tomodachi life I make stupid miis sing a song about asses

if you want to avoid situations like this where games aren't fun, play in short spiratic bursts. For example, i rotate from playing games like TF2, TES games and stuff like that to playing ARMA, CSGO and fallout or something along those lines.

If you play too much of something you'll get burned out.

step 1: make sure the game isn't starbound

if it has coop multiplayer in any way, get a friend to get the game and go at it. playing single is a drag once you've beaten a game.

for example, arma 2/3 turned over a completely new leaf for me when i invited a couple of friends to take back altis/cherno. friends make the experience greater.

with a game like LoZ challenge yourself.
Do a no heart run
i've been doing 3-heart runs on p much all my zelda games
its fun
or, depending on the game, turn up the difficulty and replaying it. an example is Megaman Legends 1 or 2 (which are both on PSN guys wink wink)

On the flip side if you make the difficulty too high then you may discouraged to continue playing it because you might get really stuck, etc.. Find a difficulty that is challenging but not too hard for you.
