Author Topic: College decisions thread!!!  (Read 1847 times)

I've committed to Georgia Tech. May still go somewhere else since I'm waitlisted at a couple of other hard-hitting places.

Wasn't my first-choice school, but I don't have much to complain about.
that's a great school
I sent an application to Western Illinois University, but still need to get last year's ACT scores and my transcript to them.
go to northern so I can stalk you

i'm glad i haven't enrolled anywhere already or i would've made the mistake of majoring in something computer related

i've got over a semester's worth of credit already from high school where 100% of which will easily transfer to davenport, so i may go there either this fall or next, if i figure out what i really want to do

I actually did consider northern lol

May the 1st is labor day in Argentina. (AKA national do-nothing day)

As for the topic's subject, I'm heading face-first into medicine and veterinary. I have checked and class hours are compatible. Not sure if I can handle it though but sure as hell is better to try than to take 13 years to graduate on both. (7 years vet, 5 years med)

I enrolled at University of Michigan for Engineering (probably gonna do computer science) like 10 minutes ago.
Hit me up sometime. Surprised another Blocklander is going to UofM

i'm going to go to mesa community college and then arizona state university for mechanical engineering
probably going to wait a year and save up money though

I'm trying to decide my major. I'm not in college yet.

That's a great school. I'm waitlisted from Carnegie and UIUC rn, if I get accepted I'm probably gonna go to either of those.
UIUC is very good for what you want to go into. If you selected computer science as your major, that's probably why you were waitlisted honestly, because they get so many competitive applicants just for that specific program.

Probably my biggest regret in applying to colleges was selecting BME as my first-choice major. I can't be certain, but I'm almost sure it hurt me at a couple of places.

I'm in college and still can't decide. I just picked criminal justice because I'm interested in law and criminal profiling. It's not bad because if i don't like my main career i have law to fall back on. Win/Win.

Are you actually going to UMass Amherst...?

Yeah UIUC was super competitive this year for some reason. I'm not really down about being waitlisted by either of those.
