Those are already in the game.

holy stuff your avatar lmao you watch blastphamoushd

OT: more convenient building

Ok, so?
damn wtf brother i wasnt coming at you sideways

i just found it interesting that im not the only one here who watches him

another thing that would be Rad as Heck would be to have some kind of way to make bricks selectively detach from the grid and become movable. bonus points if you can group bricks together

that would have such enormous implications that it would be actually overwheming

vehicle physics that are above the level of complete stuff.

Oh, ok. :)

this. like you pretty much explained what i envisioned by more "convenient building."

i generally dislike the grid system tbh and if we were able to rotate bricks other than just 90 degrees holy forget

the grid system would probably stay because it allows for massive amounts of optimization that a dynamic placement system just couldn't accomplish (unless you group bricks together somehow and just have 'local' grids for those groups)

i think having both static and dynamic bricks would be a good settlement. you can have big builds with tons of static bricks like we have now and dynamic bricks for less common interactive or moving entities. static shapes can do this kind of stuff to some degree in the current game (it worked well enough in v0002 for moving stuff) but they're pretty terrible for a brick-type building system since they lack any of the same optimizations of fxDTSBrick

terrain and interiors with better vehicle physics, improved netcoding, and shadows/shaders
and moving bricks if possible, in actual entities like how starmade does it

maybe a blockland that runs on the source engine?
it has maps, better physics and mod support :J

a terrain system like roblox's would probably work pretty well for blockland, though i haven't looked into it that much. i definitely feel like maps could be made to better fit blockland's aesthetic and mechanics rather than having that bland, rounded look that doesn't really play that well with bricks

better engine

better physics

more optimized shaders

hitboxes that are shaped like the models they enclose instead of being one giant box
