Author Topic: Lore of Blockland  (Read 1226 times)

This game has been going on for like, what?
10-15 years? Correct me if I am wrong.
Has anyone created any legitimate lore for a game like this? Cuz it deserves some.

We already solved the mystery of our avatar's floating limbs. So why not figure this mystery out.

Oh, and yeah. I know there are some lores like the Golden Brick. I guess that may work.

Autism has wiped out the human population and took form as blockheads.

After years of neglect the old living world has vanished and left the earth a flat slate.

once upon a time
there was glorious maps
everyone had fun on said glorious maps
then the shader update was on the horizon
and then kompressor came along
maps died
the end

That's loving terrible.

it's a sandbox game with no intended purpose other than building stuff, so i don't think any realistic lore could be made to a certain extent.

if you're talking about the origin of the blockheads or whatever, maybe.

Once a child's play thing now forgotten and given sentience and the abilities to build and create and destroy

Our deities, Eric the judge of life and death, Ben the ruler of the shadows, and Anthony the overseer of the overworld and forgotten dungeons, have moved us unfortunate block headed beings into a realm of our own where we now possess the ability to change the world around us at a moments notice

It is now up to us to re-create what was once lost, find the true reason behind our existence, and find patience in our deities and the fate that lies ahead of us

Have fun!

I think this will be as close as to what we can get towards the Origin of Blockheads, not to mention it makes sense.

You are a Blockhead.
A miniature figure created from a child's imagination.
You represent the child as the ability to talk, commit actions, and move.
Building is a way for your creativity to flourish.
Your constructions help bring together a whole entire community of children's most wildest dreams.
Also having the ability to morph and create anything you can dream of.

I guess.

A knock-off lego brand that nobody bought known as Blocko noticed that their sales were terrible, so they created artificial intelligence and installed every bit they could into their minifigures, which they called Blockheads. They made it so they could do things like talk to each other, change their appearance, and even create their own organized deathmatches and races. They later created the ability for them to create and manipulate matter with their own tools.

However due to how incredibly expensive it was to make this possible and how incredibly little they were making, they went out of business quickly and abandoned the lab that created these mind-blowing plastic creatures and never told anyone else about them.

This lab and everything inside it stayed unknowingly intact for a very long time. Many years after the apocalypse, a group of scientists have found the lab and one of them accidentally pressed a big red button that said not to press it. Once that happened, every single Blockhead the lab had was teleported away to a completely different galaxy. Every planet in this galaxy was able to be configured at will by the Blockhead that landed on it, and the Blockheads gained teleporting abilities to teleport to different planets in that galaxy that other Blockheads owned.

As one of those many Blockheads, your job is to make the best planet that will grab the most attention from all the other Blockheads, or to simply teleport in on already existing planets and improving everyone's stay.
