Author Topic: Doesn't space seem a little too "odd" to you.  (Read 8267 times)

For example what is Dark Matter, why does it make up 90% of our universe and seemingly not exist?

How can our universe keep expanding?

How does the universe just suddenly appear from nothing?

Why is it that every time we try exploring space to discover the truth the universe keeps getting bigger.

What's up with the giant space roar?

What the forget is pulling our entire milky way galaxy, something is dragging our galaxy in like a tractor beam.

It's basically like one big giant skybox in a videogame that doesn't get bigger nor smaller whenever you move closer and closer to it. Space just seems artificial, not real. Like it's being auto generated the more and more we look into it.

It's not really my realm of intelligence, tbh. I find the worlds that we physically construct, like video games, to be far more interesting and relevant. For example, in Halo the "skybox" is actually just part of the mesh that's been assigned a special name, and the engine removes the polys to for an empty space and then fills it with a background image (Halo: CE has no support for BSP meshes that aren't fully enclosed).

Leave space to the scientists.

Leave space to the scientists.

They don't know. They can't even figure out what the forget dark matter is.

Well, we can probably think of it in much the same way as that one leftover meal in the fridge that never gets eaten and nobody remembers making in the first place. It doesn't really resemble anything, we're not sure if it's good or bad, but we know that in some capacity it exists and that at some point we'll have to deal with it.

I'm guessing the real issue here is that the kind of science we need to actually answer these questions is just yet to be in our possession.

Are we living in a computer simulation bro? Because it makes sense just like a game to put a never ending seemingly impossible skybox that you'll never reach the end of.

There is no edge because it's being auto generated.

i have seen weirder on deviantart

Can you figure it out? They're actually working on it. You wouldn't even know it existed if other people weren't studying space.

But what is holding the universe up? We know the universe came from nothing and the universe is expanding. So what's outside our universe? How does it just float in that other plane.

I think it's a bit funny how well we've (accidentally!!!) modelled real life into video games, yet people actually think it's the opposite way around.

The only difference is that games are designed, whereas life is...??? I'm a (loose as forget) Catholic, so take that for what it's worth. In terms of the game thing, though, games are really just structured activities designed to reward and punish you for learning, practising and demonstrating a specific set of related skills. If you go ahead and add that structure to your day-to-day routine, suddenly you're "in the game".

But how would they program infinite non-repeating numbers like pi?

So far a couple of ways our universe could end.

It gets so big it tears itself apart like a balloon.

The temperature turns to absolute zero killing everything.

The universe shrinks crunching everything.

Our entire universe may seem big to us but what if it's actually as tiny as an amoeba. The universe will literally be just chemical reactions.

To be completely honest, with enough creativity you could infinitely calculate PI. The problem we have isn't the power of the computer, it's storage; at some point, even if every single bit of Cache, RAM and HDD is dedicated to it, you'll run out of space (it takes a minimum of 1 byte (8 bits) to represent a number between 0 and 255, not counting the space needed to store the positive/negative sign and decimal point). If somebody built a PC with hot-plugging so they could continue to add drives/RAM, then PI won't be an issue.

Furthermore, we could look for patterns of numbers and attempt to compress these down, in the same way a ZIP archive works.

Nah man.

We have a thing called the observable universe and we don't even know what's behind that and we can't loving know because there is a loud sound in space known as the "space roar" which is blocking all loving singles from reaching through.

All you have to do is design a really big ass universe and make it loving impossible to see if there is an edge.

How can our universe keep expanding? It isnt expending, the light from the "edge of the universe" is just reaching our planet. Or thats what morgan freeman told me

How does the universe just suddenly appear from nothing? No one knows really

Why is it that every time we try exploring space to discover the truth the universe keeps getting bigger. Point 2

What's up with the giant space roar? Intelligent life pheraps? If you think we are the only on in the galaxy you're handicapped.

What the forget is pulling our entire milky way galaxy, something is dragging our galaxy in like a tractor beam. Our planet is in orbit of the sun, the sun is in orbig of the center of milky way, the milky way is in orbit of some larger galaxy and so on

It's actually entirely possible that there is no other life in the universe but us. Even so it's also possible that a race of aliens so technologically advanced managed to actually leave this universe to create their own.

Our universe will inevitably die. They are probably off making a universe that won't die.
