not sure how much I really liked it my dudes
the robot fights were heckin cool but all the interpersonal stuff was just kinda dumb honestly, and towards the end it just got forgetin weird and boring
the last two episodes of the series and the second half of end of evangelion just DRAGGED ON and the ending was not remotely satisfying

on their own they aren't exactly fulfilling

anno did get death threats over those two episodes when they aired

end of evangelion is an alternate interpretation. in my view, they're supposed to supplement each other rather than one replacing the other.

i mean those 2 particular episodes were more of a statement than something to be enjoyed but overall i enjoyed it

iirc 25&26 were underfunded so they had to go avant garde

iirc is the common theory is that episodes 25 & 26 for Shinji was him wondering if spoilers: whether to go fully with the human instrumentality thing or not while he was initiating the third impact. He ultimateley choose not to and thats why rei god started breaking apart and shinji + asuka woke out of the lcl. Presumably people who also wanted to remain would soon also form out the the lcl
they were introspecting because they had spoilers: all become lcl with the third impact, with only their psyche hanging on. Asuka was also thinking while she was hidden in the lake
