So if it's not a race, why is he a tribal for disliking it?
It's the other way around. His opinion doesn't matter because he is a tribal.
But like you guys realize Islamic extremists are just using religion to gain followers, right? They take a very literal interpretation of the Quran to justify killing people, but it's all about trying to gain power in the stuffty countries they live in. Attacks were made on America and the West specifically because of our support of Israel and has continued because of our military involvement in the middle east that's trying to counter Islamic people who don't like their governments.
It's like how the Ku Klux Klan and the Westboro Baptist Church don't represent Christians as a whole. If I started claiming that the Bible says that when laying siege to a city, if they don't surrender, you can kill or enslave everyone and pillage the city, (Deuteronomy 20:10-17) and so I take action on this, that doesn't mean all Christians will agree with it.
If my wife has an affair and I kill her and the guy she's having an affair with, because the bible says that's what you're supposed to do, that's fine too. (Leviticus 20:10)
If I'm a priest and my daughter becomes a prostitute, the bible says it's all right to burn her alive. just set her on fire. (Leviticus 21:9)
If a priest sees someone sin and decides to kill them, that's okay. (Deuteronomy 17:12)
Also, of course, if you rape someone, you have to marry them, you can't eat shellfish, you can't wear jeans and a cotton t-shirt together, women cannot speak (or let their heads be uncovered) in the church, etc.
There's stupid, outdated stuff in every religious text. It's up to common sense, which most people have, to pick out which stuff is bullstuff and which isn't. Most Muslims are not terrorists. The majority of Muslims promote peace, but there are people of every mindset and life in every religion or race or region. Belligerent and easy-going. Smart and dumb. Rich and poor. Pretty and ugly. Actually believing in stereotypes is downright stupid.
The media needs a common enemy to help bring in viewers. Yellow journalism started with newspapers against Spain, radio during the World Wars against the Central Powers and the Axis who promoted nationalism, television against the communists, and now the internet against Islam. It's wild that we allow the demonization of an entire religion but there it is. Muslims have been disparaged to help justify the US invasions of Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Syria. Because, hey, if we accidentally kill a bunch of civilians, it doesn't matter since they were all terrorists anyway. It's almost like the same people who think the government is conspiring against the people have fallen for this Islamophobic bullstuff that they've been pushing.
