in my opinion i wouldn't really spend over really spend that much on shoes, they might feel very comfortable but eh i don't think im just gonna throw $200 at a pair of shoes, partly because im jumping shoe sizes a lot as im growing. my current shoes are about $60, they're comfortable enough and actually work so i got no complaints.
the situation like this is kinda like when you buy headphones and you wouldn't really go for the super high quality headphones or a headset because you're either not rich or don't really want the high of quality because a cheaper one could service you too well enough just not needing to blow a ton of money for it. either that or you're buying really stuffty headphones at a way higher price.
the only reason i would see throwing a ton of money into it would be if you did something professionally with it. example, made music or did something else with sound and needed a fantastically preforming large range headset with a good microphone. or you just use a lot of money on your entertainment thats cool. buy what you want if you can i guess
