History is neat sometimes but Science is always cooler like 300% of the time

In order to know why what you're learning is important, contextual history is paramount.  What, for example, sparked the invention of the stirling engine, or the beginning of the industrial revolution?  What problems had to be solved?  Why did X engineer come to Y conclusion etc.  and did human affairs at that time had an impact on such invention?

Knowing the history around a scientific principle will help you to learn the principle itself, because you will step into the shoes of the people involved and look at it from their viewpoint.  A good 50/50 balance is required.

also it's "are the blockland forums" I think

Knowing why I come to the conclusion in the first place helps others to understand my opinion and correct me and/or encourage debate about their own findings.

history is just science that happened in the past
science for the win

history (unless im being tested on it)

I'm more of a history type of guy

Definitely history.

i'm trying to refer to "blockland forums" as one entity, hence the title trying to imply its just one guy rather than an entire community.
think of it more as a name, "is bill more of a science guy or a history buff?"
